The King´s plate

Posted by
daniela (Berlin, Germany) on 20 January 2013 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio.

or an early version of the Life of Pi?
Funny thing: The Moritzburg castle is built on a small island, and when they dug out the pond sometime ago (because of the thick layers of rotting leaves) they found tons of old broken china and glasses. They concluded, the king´s servants dropped all the broken plates and glasses there. Just a big wet trash bin.
("Oh no! I broke a plate - again! I will get punished." - " Just throw it in the pond, no one will ever notice.")
Made me think if they maybe also dropped the dishes when they didn´t feel like washing them :)
