Back to the slides:
My grandma (left), her beloved (french) dog "Schnurzel" and her sister enjoying the sun at the small town of Georgenberg, Bavaria.
My grandpa was prisoner of war in a small village (Cornusse) in France and was able to get my grandma and mother to join him there, he had a good job - gardenening etc - at some sort of sanatorium in Cornusse, always referred to that place as the "château" - he and my mom would have loved to stayed there, but my grandmother insisted to go back to Berlin, so they returned around 1950. The house dog of that sanatorium had puppies and Schnurzel was one of them :)
My grandpa Erich Welk, shooting probably with his Voigtländer camera.
