in the crow´s nest ;)Posted by daniela scharnowski (Berlin, Germany) on 3 November 2009 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio. same beach as yesterday´s shot but 1 hour later, a hooded crow - corvus cornix sat on an old and unused lamp pole, observing her territory and watching the sunset. Most pictures of the trip were taken in 16:9 if anyone wonders- no special reason I just like this format ;) fz28 Respect the artist´s work. All images are copyright protected. @Anina: Anina darling - your com was the 1000th comment I received since joining the addicts on here ;) Lyl and Roll from Besançon, FranceVery good composition... with the complicity of heavy clouds behind. 3 Nov 2009 9:51am @Lyl and Roll: I loved that old lamp - ;) Thea from Leeuwarden, NetherlandsGreat shot (with a bird I usually don't like) but it looks cool ..as a silouet against that 3 Nov 2009 11:15am @Thea: we have so many hooded crows in Berlin - i got used to them ;) But I would rather prefer crows than doves, which I personally call flying rats - at least the ones here in the city ;o) Pavan Kaul from Mumbai, IndiaGreat moody composition...love the crow silhouetted against the blue! 3 Nov 2009 4:15pm @Pavan Kaul: Thank you Pavan ;) @JPS: hehe ;) Marilla from Turku, FinlandLooks very familiar to me. We have pigeons sitting (and shit...g) on lamps just like those. Good capture! 3 Nov 2009 5:38pm @Marilla: I loved the colour & light on the lamp body - that caught my eye. the crow is just a bonus ;) @Kiwisa: The light that evening was fantastic - pink, yellow blue, nature´s palette is so much richer outside the big cities..., thank you! @john4jack: Jack, I exercised hard on making landscape shots that trip - what turned out to be a big challenge, I usually focus more on details that jump to my eye s.a. - I enjoy landscapes a lot but being there it´s not easy for me to decide what to put in the picture, so many details around me... I hope you´ll give me some advice when I upload them :) |
